Colin:

US Coast Guard Licensed Captain, dinghy boy and dishwasher. Colin grew up in the Pacific NW and as a young boy had many adventures with his family in the San Juan Islands. He entered the Coast Guard out of high school and graduated from Western Washington University. His sailing experience ranges from Pacific Ocean crossings, commercial fishing, arctic researching and coastal deliveries. He keeps always busy with many varying professions from sailing instructor/captain, wrestling coach, international importer of Mongolian Yurts, wilderness expedition leader for youth and veterans, river guide and restorative land practitioner.

Ariahna:

Manager, hostess, chef, yoga teacher and environmental educator. Ari’s love for the water grew out of childhood sailing on Lake Coeur d’Alene and exploring the San Juans on her family’s 36’ sailboat. Her passion deepened leading her to an academic pursuit of Master’s of Water Resource Management. She has spent many summers as an outdoor wilderness therapy instructor, river guide and leader of several international global service learning trips. She currently spends much of the calendar year as a professor of Natural Resources and Recreation Management at the local community college. First mate in life and onboard, Ari enjoys creating new experiences for new and old friends.

Nieve:

Little Mate, our “little one” is a 25# white terrier born in La Paz, Mexico. Brought back by Captain Colin after a long road trip. If you would like Nieve will join us on your excursion as she is a crowd favorite. She loves to provide company on trail walks, chasing sticks, and an occasional swim.
